​Housing At Capistrano Community For Women

Capistrano Community For Women is located near Jason's Retreat in Bakersfield, Ca. Capistrano Community For Women houses women and their children in a Beautiful large secluded house with a large fenced yard and play area for children. Residence share a self-sufficient kitchen, there is also a laundry room, fireplace and patio. The Facility is operated in a family atmosphere with it's own food and household budget The Women at Capistrano Community For Women participate in menu planning, food purchase, preparation, and household chores, teaching our clients responsibility and home economics. Like Jason's Retreat, Capistrano Community For Women has staff which provide support services, Transportation to all important appointments, outside counseling and child visits as well as transportation to outside NA and AA meetings.



Treatment At Capistrano Community For Women

At Capistrano Community For Women our Clients are provided with a safe environment and a positive atmosphere where they can learn to walk with integrity and deal with issues that have led them to the abuse of drugs and alcohol. All of our programs are based around 12-step social model programs, we also implement modern methods of counseling recovery. Capistrano Community For Women helps our clients learn accountability and responsibility as well as the importance of structure in not only their life, but the life of their children. Clients are required to attend classes from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. four days a week. Our classes include:

• Coping Skills
• Domestic Violence
• Parenting
• Process Groups
• Communication Skills
• Life Skills

Our counselors are all CAADAC trained and provide education and therapy in other substance abuse issues, such as alcohol/drug addiction education, anger management, life style changes, medical, legal and financial obligations, self-esteem, relapse prevention, job preparedness completing education requirements, refreshing job skills, reestablishing primary relationships, building family relationships, coping with child care issues (parenting) communication skills, setting boundaries, and many more related subjects. Clients are subject to random drug screening tests and on site daily alcohol testing by evidenced of acid screen sensor.



Visiting At Capistrano Community For Women

Clients are permitted to participate with family members, sponsors and other supportive friends at family night group meetings each week. Visits are permitted at Capistrano as ordered by CPS along with overnight visits for those children who don’t live in treatment with mom. These visits take place on the weekend. We Are dedicated to helping our clients with their individual needs and each client is given a comprehensive evaluation upon arrival at the facility to better help us help them. We hold our standards higher than similar programs at a fraction of the cost.
